Four things to know before your 65th birthday.
Your Initial Enrollment Period is 7 months. 3 months before your 65th birthday month, the birthday month itself, and 3 months after. We map yours to your specific birth date.
If you take Social Security before 65, you're auto-enrolled in Parts A & B. Otherwise you have to actively sign up. We confirm which path applies to you.
Employer coverage may let you delay Part B without penalty. Not every employer plan qualifies. We confirm whether yours does so you don't pay for coverage you don't need yet.
Late enrollment without qualifying coverage adds a 10% Part B penalty for every 12 months you wait, for life. This is the single biggest mistake we keep new clients from making.
